    layout of your childhood

    from:"reclaiming your life" Jean Jenson

"Draw a floor plan of the house you lived in as a child, including all the floors. If you lived in more than one house draw the first one that comes to mind. Then color each of the rooms according to the feelings you remember having in them:

    red represents anger.

    gray represents loneliness

    white represents fear

    yellow represents happiness/safety

    blue represents sadness

Feel free to use more than one color in a room. You may have the sense that you felt more than one way, at different times, int the same part of the house, so use as many of the colors as you need to represent each of the feelings. This exercise may tell you things about your childhood experience that you did not realize before."

the yellow spots inside are the places of the pets for the most parts. I loved the dog.

A lot of white. I wish it would have been different but it wasn't.

Sorry you had so much white Lily.

I think we all want more yellow in our floorplans Left Hug

I'm currently going through The Inner Child Workbook by Cathryn Taylor. Pretty good thus far.

I'll be sure to try this exercise out - thanks for posting.

I am really looking forward to doing this excersize and I will reply with my experience when I have.

One thing that came to mind that may be interesting is to also do this excersize with your current living condition and notice the difference. Also, may be helpful to identify any problem areas of your current living condition that can be improved.
