    civilian force

Okay. What is a civilian force, and is this not scary?

I'm still becoming "read" up on the concepts of anarchy, and I have not digested it completely, so my reaction to this story was immediately not good. I just see guns in my face, but having no right to own my own weaponry. Thanks.

    Re: civilian force

Personally, I don't find it scary at all. If we made it through world war I and world war II with all of their respective government controls and depredations (Don't get me started on Woodrow Wilson or Franklin Roosevelt), then I think in this won't be all that dangerous.

What I'm more concerned with is this idiot congressman. For one thing, where has he been the last eight f****ing years, if he's so worried about authoritarian presidents? I think people like him discredit those who espouse political and economic freedom to those who are intelligent but not culturally inclined to gravitate towards libertarian/anarchist ideas by virtue of the pro-freedom rhetoric Republicans frequently use (to get into office and then enact opposite policies).

If I hadn't found freedomain radio, or perhaps the writings of other libertarians like Ayn Rand or Hayek, this congresscritter would just confirm the bias I grew up with that a) purportedly laissez-faire people are crazy and that b) Marxists and Communists are actually pretty smart and probably right about a lot of things by virtue of the fact that they are so often attacked by these crazy, backwards laissez-faire people.

My rant is over. I hope that was helpful.
